Santa Elena Moon
The industrial area out in East Houston is quite the sight. I needed something to make it a little more interesting, and I think the sunset did just that.
Texas and Fannin
I'm so glad that I decided to take a look at what was beneath me. I went to downtown Houston to take some shots of the Chase building, and found something much better.
I was trying to get some night shots of the Gerald D Hines Waterwall, but apparently they shut off the water at night...weird. The Transco Tower was just a few steps away.
Took a drive down toward La Porte to try and find some piers to shoot and ended up at Sylvan Beach Park in East Houston
There was a lot of movement in the water that was sort of mesmerizing to watch...so I did
I like this whole industrial area in East Houston. I almost missed this little area on the way home.
This little area is littered with tons of junk. It seems like a secluded area that some feel safe to use as a dump, but it also gives a pretty cool view of Lower San Jacinto Bay.
Houston Water Crossing
I was out wandering the Houston area when I ran across this shot of the Fred Hartman Bridge. I guess the Houston humidity is good for something.
A quick stop downtown near Sam Houston Park. Parking isn't easy to find around downtown Houston, so I took the opportunity to stop when I found a "book drop"
I thought this little dilapidated stilt house was pretty awesome! I was pretty much forced to stop and take some shots
While driving around Highland Texas, I found this cool little spot just off one of the "estate" backroads
This cloudless sunset made for a pretty amazing single color sky
